3 ways to conserve your vanilla beans :
Put your beans back in a vaccum bag
Tighten the beans together using cling film and place them in an airtight jar
- Place your beans in an airtight jar and put a bit of alcohol (eg rum) in it, the alcohol will keep the inside of the jar moist and you will produce your vanilla extract at the same time.
Keep the vaccuum bag and use it to perfume your cupboards or your office. Your vacuum bag is impregnated with vanilla oil inside and its scent will last for several years.
